Do you want to plant a bamboo privacy screen? Come see how easy it is to control and manage your bamboo once you know the correct techniques. Bring your toughest questions and you will be rewarded with accurate answers.These topics covered and more: harvesting edible bamboo, description of possible containment solutions that actually work, partial or full removal of a bamboo grove, planting and installing a bamboo hedge/screen, keeping your bamboo grove healthy and enjoyable. There will be a limited number of bamboo plants available for purchase.

7/9-10/11 Asheville Bamboo Festival @ the NC Arboretum. David presented info session on Bamboo 101. Brightside Bamboo along with all the other southeastern bamboo movers and shakers were there and we had a great turn-out.
5/24/11 Head over to Durham Garden Center to pick up bundles of garden stakes to support BSB
5/4 The Lantern just featured a new dish featuring our bamboo shoots. Yum!
4/27 This evening's special vegetarian dish at Vimala's Curryblossom Cafe: Bamboo shoots with whole yellow peas, a Nepali delicacy. Only available for a short time
3/18/11 Crook's Corner bamboo is now thinned. Please proceed to enjoy the patio.
12/4/10 KindredGrove: We just planted the first commercial bamboo farm in NC (that isn't a nursery) in Warren County. 3 Varieties went in: Vivax, Henon, and Moso.
